In Spring 2024, we spent 4 full days in Dublin, Ireland before traveling to Bordeaux, France. We stayed in an Air BNB in the town of Malahide. One of the big reasons we went to Dublin was to see the Cliffs of Moher. We heavily debated spending the night close to the Cliffs of Moher because it is a few hours drive from Dublin city, but with 6 adults and 1 infant, it ended up being cheaper and easier to have one “home base” and take day trips from there. Ferry Service with Island Direct If you travel all the way to Auckland, New Zealand, you have to make a stop at the stunning island of Waiheke. We took a day trip to Waiheke from Auckland using the Island Direct ferry service. The Island Direct ferry was extremely easy to book. They had multiple ferries every day, so it was easy to plan ahead! We were able to walk from our Air BNB to Pier 13 in about 15 minutes.
