Credit Cards
When you are looking to travel on a budget or if you want to elevate your travel experience, travel credit cards can make all of the difference. But, unfortunately, there isn’t one perfect credit card. When selecting a card, keep in mind:
- What do you spend money on? Many credit cards offer accelerated earnings for different types of spend.
- Is the annual fee worth it? Many cards have high annual fees that can be offset by credits, but make sure that you will actually use the credits to make it worth it!
- What can you do with the points? You can think of points as currency that can be spent. Think about how points can be combined (typically you can combine points earned on multiple cards at the same bank), where you can use them (transfer partners, travel portals, cash back), and how this fits with your preferred airlines, hotels, and other travel partners.
